What is the SMA-F BigBoost Antenna? 

The ANSFWPBB18V is a BigBoost 18 inch antenna for handheld two-way radios that use a SMA-Female Antenna connection. This antenna is great for wildland firefighters who need an extra BOOST with their Kenwood Series portable radios. This VHF 148-174 MHz antenna with SMA-F Connector has a 2.1dB gain.  The flexible whip allows for ease of movement without getting hung up.
