KNG-P150CMD Command Portable Radios
The Relm BK Radio KNG-P150 CMD is the newest radio made for Cal fire specifications. This radio comes stock with 5000 Channels, on the fly command Group, and programable tone list. This radio also has a state of the art vocoder which is what encodes voice picked up by the microphone for transmission. Analog voice signal from the microphone is converted to a digital string to transmit to other radios, the radios receiving the digital string then convert the code to Analog voice to be heard out of the speaker. The vocoder also removes background noise from the voice transmissions for clear communications. For public safety personel like firefighters and police officers the vocoder is an important part of a radio not to be overlooked. The vocoder on a fire radio is especially important because of background noises like sirens, chainsaws, fire, trucks, engines, etc. Even if you don't know what a vocoder is you are counting on the vocoder in your fire radio to pick your voice out from the background noise and encode it for transmission, so that the person receiving your transmission can hear you, instead of all that background noise. The BK Radio KNG P150 Command includes the most up to date vocoder available, so that you can count on your fire radio.
